Nancy Mullally

Nancy Mullally

CEO, CFO, Chairman of the Board

Nancy began her career in 1976, joining Merrill Lynch in Pasadena, California. Since then she has enjoyed working for 3 of the major Wall Street firms in capacity of Operations, Institutional Sales and Underwriting/Trading. During that time she was able to acquire a vast knowledge of the industry and has applied those same principals in order to achieve success. In 1987 Nancy Mullally started Alamo Capital with a vision of being “big enough to get the job done right and small enough to care.” After starting Alamo Capital, Nancy developed a client base of over 400 Institutional accounts, hundreds of retail accounts and participated with thousands of new issues. She currently manages the Institutional Sales Department, VRDN Weekly Remarketing Desk, which at one time was over 1.5 billion in size, and also presides over the firms’ operations. Recently, she has focused her efforts on Investment Banking and Underwriting of Municipal Bonds. Alamo Capital is a member of the State of California’s Underwriting Pool and has been a Co-Manager on multiple transactions over the past years. Nancy has a BA from St. Mary’s College of California’s Executive Business Management Program. She lives in Danville, enjoys playing golf, taking long walks, keeping involved with her long term book club and spending time with her family. 

Bill Mullally

Bill Mullally

President

Bill has over 50 years of experience in most facets of the Securities Markets. He was employed by Security Pacific National Bank, Stone & Youngberg, West Coast Securities, Paine Webber Jackson & Curtis, 2 small regional firms and Alamo Capital. His experience runs from trading, underwriting, managing, compliance, marketing and more. Bill has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance – Investments from California State University at Long Beach. He is also an Army Veteran that served in Vietnam. He enjoys golf, motorcycling, skiing, photography and world affairs. Bill has two sons who work at Alamo Capital and a daughter who is developing a career as a stylist.

John Baer

John Baer

Senior Vice President, Institutional Sales

John sells fixed income products including Treasuries, Agencies, Corporates, Municipals, and Mortgage-Backed Securities. He has also traded large blocks of equities to institutional accounts. Over his career he has engaged in direct institutional sales to States, Counties, Water Districts, Community Development Agencies, Money Managers, Banks, and Trust Departments. John specializes in callable securities, where he has often structured new deals through reverse inquires. His account base has included several “Tier One” accounts with assets of 1 billion to 10+ billion dollars. John holds the following securities licenses: Series 7 – General Securities Representative, Series 24 – General Securities Principal, and Series 63 – Uniform Securities Agent. He graduated with Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a B.A. in Political Science. He then studied law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California. John is a 6th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate.

John Colleary

John Colleary was born and raised in New York where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from St. John’s University. After graduating, John began his Municipal Bond career in 1977. In his free time, John enjoys golfing, gardening and spending time with his two children and two grandchildren.

Tim Culleton

Tim Culleton

Vice President, Investments

Tim Culleton was born in Sacramento and has lived in the Bay Area since graduating from UC Berkeley, with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Tim began his career at Montgomery Securities in San Francisco. He followed this position by becoming a Vice President at Thomas Weisel Partners in 2000. Just prior to joining Alamo Capital, Tim was a Vice President on the Convertible Bond Trading Desk at Thomas Weisel Partners. Tim lives in Moraga with his family and enjoys participating in a variety of outdoor sports in his spare time. Tim is a member of the San Francisco Municipal Bond Club. He currently holds his FINRA Series 7, 63, and 55 licenses.

Nader Mokri

Senior Vice President, Institutional Sales

Nader Mokri began his career in 1986 working with Portfolio Managers and Municipal Government Agencies. Nader has been focused on every aspect of the Fixed Income Arena, including trading munis, corporates, government, mortgage back securities and money market instruments. He has also been responsible for running branch offices, including supervision of sales staff, compliance & operations. His main focus and specialty has been on sales and trading of institutional fixed income investments. Mr. Mokri is a graduate from Chapman University with a Major in Finance and Minor in Management. He is a member of GFOA, CMTA, CSMFO, Nevada GFOA, Georgia GFOA, ACWA & CACTTC and holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.

Ben graduated from the University of San Francisco, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. Ben has been with Alamo Capital for 6 years as Vice President of Institutional Sales and serves as a Board Member. In 2013, Ben was the President of the San Francisco Municipal Bond Club. He currently holds his series 7 and 63 licenses. His hobbies are basketball, golf, and spending time with his family & friends.

Allison Kent-Aster

Chief Compliance and Operations Officer

Allison has been in the investment industry for 30 years and has extensive knowledge of Brokerage Operations, Compliance and Supervision. She previously worked for Fidelity Investments, A.G. Edwards and Round Hill Securities. She assists in all aspects of running and supervising the firm, and continually strives to provide the best products and services available to our clients and our brokers. She holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 and 24.

Armida Sancen

Client Relationship Manager

Armida joins Alamo Capital with over 15 years of experience in the financial industry. Previously, she was the VP of Operations where she managed one of the largest independent branch offices in the Bay Area through LPL Financial. She brings with her the expertise in developing best practice policies and procedures. Armida holds FINRA series 7,6,63 as well as her California Insurance license. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Saint Mary’s College of California. She enjoys the outdoors, practicing yoga, and spending time with her friends and family. She lives in Alamo with her husband and two dogs, Chase and Bella.

Shauntee majored in Business Administration and Project Management at DeVry University. For the last 20 years, Shauntee was working as a business analyst and is now working in Operations at Alamo Capital. Shauntee is a Bay Area native and during her free time she enjoys going to Warrior’s and Raider’s games, and playing with her dog Rico. Shauntee is currently studying for her Series 7, 63, and SIE licenses.

Isabella is currently attending her second year at Los Positas College and Chabot College, pursuing a Major in Finance. She currently holds the SIE and is pursuing her Series 7 licenses. Isabella is from the East Bay Area and during her free time she enjoys traveling, shopping, exercising, golfing, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Kelly brings over 15 years of administrative experience to the Alamo Capital team.  A long-time resident of the Bay Area, her community roots contribute to her excellent people skills. Outside of work, Kelly has a passion for creativity and connection. She enjoys dinners with friends, and being with her favorite human, her daughter, and loves to express her artistic side through crafting. Kelly always welcomes exciting and challenging experiences.

Vice President, Investments

William has been in the financial industry since 1980 and became a stockbroker in 1983. He was born and raised in San Francisco, attending Saint Gabriel’s Grammar School, Saint Ignatius College Prep High School, and Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, where he received a BA in English in 1977. William played 3 years of varsity tennis in college, as well as serving as sports editor for the school newspaper for a year and a senior on the school’s board of directors. William has a great relationship with his clients and feels they are impressed by his preparation, knowledge and integrity. He specializes in equities, retirement accounts and bonds. William is happy to serve a client in any way he can.

Adam Gold

Prior to Joining Alamo Capital, Adam was an Associate at Next-Gen Ventures, an early stage Venture Capital fund located in San Francisco. There he focused on raising capital and sourcing investment opportunities. Adam graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics. At UC Berkeley, Adam was a member of the NCAA California Golden Bears baseball team as a pitcher before being selected by the San Diego Padres in the amateur baseball draft. Adam enjoys all outdoor activities including Golf, Snowboarding, and Baseball.

Russell H. Meers Jr.

Russell has been a financial advisor since May 1993. Prior to joining Alamo Capital, he had been a Vice President at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Wells Fargo Securities Inc. Russell holds NASD Series 7 and 63 licenses. He completed his freshman year of college by attending the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia in 1973. While attending the University of Georgia, Russell became a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and held the office of Treasurer during his junior year. He is the proud parent of two children and has lived in San Francisco since 1975. Russell specializes in investment planning, retirement plans and implementing tax saving strategies.

Tom Mindel

Tom is a graduate of Syracuse University. He was registered in the securities industry in 1984, and currently holds 7 license including Series 3, 4, 53, and 24. His specialty is assisting high net worth individuals and corporate pension accounts with their securities investments. Additionally, throughout his career, Tom has held branch manager positions supervising retail and institutional equity and fixed income sales staff and operations. Tom is married and has 3 wonderful children.

David Plisco

Senior Vice President, Investments

Dave received his MBA from the University of Arizona in 1974. He became a Registered Investment Advisor, licensed in California in 1978, managing Retail and Corporate accounts for his own Company. Over the next 42 years he received series 3, 4, 7, 24, and 63 licenses. He was an adjunct or Part-time finance instructor at Chapman University (Finance, Marketing, and Accounting), CSULB (Security Analysis and Business Finance), and since 1984 has taught the Investment and securities classes at Orange Coast College. He has lectured on Institutional Fixed Income Investments at National (The ARC Foundation), State (Idaho Society of CPAs), and local (Invest in Yourself 2000) conventions. He was made Honorary Treasurer of the State of Indiana in June 1993 during the INDY 500 at the Capitol. Dave served four years on the Santa Ana Heights Water Board of Directors. He facilitated its merger into Irvine Ranch Water District and made its presentation to LAFCO. He is an award-winning speaker. He is an experienced professional with institutions; Money Managers, Cities, Corporations, Charities, and Retirement Plans. He has worked with high-net worth individuals for over 42 years. Trust, knowledge, and experience are his reputation.

John Sadeghi

John Sadeghi

Vice President, Investments

John has over 25 years of investment advisory experience in both the institutional and retail arenas. He is a Municipal Bond and General Securities Principal with an emphasis on fixed-income products. As a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), John advises on wealth management and creates personalized bond ladder portfolios. John is an authority on fixed-income products and has contributed several articles to local publications on this subject. He has also been on several occasions a guest lecturer at U.C Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. John received a BA degree from the University of California, Davis, where he graduated with honors.

Rob Wong

Senior Vice President, Investments

Rob is a third generation Bay Area native and is a Senior Vice President at Alamo Capital’s Client Investment Group headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA. With 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, he began his career with Shearson Lehman American Express in San Francisco back in 1991 where he obtained his Series 7 and 63 licenses. He joined Alamo Capital in 2008 and has enjoyed developing his practice over the past 13 years. He takes great pride in utilizing three decades of experience developing personalized investment strategies to help his customers reach both their short-term and long-term financial goals. He specializes in both fixed income products and equity-based products such as stocks, mutual funds, and ETF’s. His practice is currently closed to new investors, however he will accept referral customers from existing clientele on a case-by-case basis. He resides in Harbor Bay Isle in Alameda with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, tennis, and golf.

Ryan Kent

Ryan Kent

Vice President, Trading

Ryan has worked at Alamo Capital since 2006. He is currently attending California State University East Bay pursuing his Bachelors Degree in Business. Ryan started in operations and worked his way up to his current position trading corporate bonds. He holds the FINRA Series 7 license. He is an avid snowboarder during winter and enjoys watching his favorite hockey team.

Nick attended California State University, Chico where he graduated with a bachelors of science in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and a minor in international business. Nick was a member of the Division I men’s rugby team at Chico and now plays for the division II men’s Diablo Gaels rugby club. At Alamo Capital Nick specializes in Mortgage-Backed Securities. His other hobbies include golf and travel.

Vanessa graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. While at Boise, Vanessa was part of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Vanessa was born and raised in San Ramon, CA. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with her family and friends. Since she started working at Alamo Capital, Vanessa has attained her Series 7, 63, and SIE licenses.
