Trading Desk Assistant Job in Walnut Creek, CA

Alamo Capital has a job opening for a trading desk assistant at our headquarters in Walnut Creek, California. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work on our very busy Fixed Income Trading desk. We are a broker dealer located in Walnut Creek, California with an office in Las Vegas, Nevada

We have specialized in tax free investing for 23 years. Our aim is to provide timely and efficient executions of investment transactions for our retail, institutional and wholesale clientele.

Trading Desk Assistant Duties:

• Various administrative duties to support the trading desk.
• Learn the process of underwriting bonds.
• Match trades in a fast paced, high volume environment
• Confirm trades with clients
• Work closely with operations peers and ensure that trade settlement occurs

Trading Desk Assistant Job Requirements:

• 4 year degree in a finance discipline
• Knowledge of any/all of the following financial products REQUIRED: munis, govies, treasuries, MBS, corporates, agencies.  Equity backgrounds will not be considered
• Superior counter-party communication skills
• Superior presentation skills in a fast paced, hectic environment
• Stable employment history and strong professional references
• Ability to work in US without employer sponsorship
